Danny Wagler

Danny Wagler, 76, of Meadville, PA went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2018 in Sarasota, FL. Danny was born November 11, 1941 in Loogootee, IN to Simon and Mary (Stoll) Wagler. On April 29, 1967 Danny married Edna Mae (Mast) Wagler of Sandy Lake, PA. They enjoyed 50 years and 11 months together. Danny was a skilled carpenter for over 50 years in Michigan and Pennsylvania; he found great satisfaction and enjoyment in his work. Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Danny’s strong yet patient approach to life was one of his most defining and beloved characteristics. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and grandsons. Danny attended Shalom Mennonite Church in Cochranton, PA. Danny is survived by his wife, Edna (Mast) Wagler of Meadville, three sons: Keith (Bethany) of Angier, NC, Sheldon of Sarasota, FL, and Stephen of Tampa, FL and two grandchildren: Micah and Gabriel Wagler of Angier, NC. Danny is also survived by five brothers and six sisters: Sylvia (the late Aaron Yoder) of Killbuck, OH Lester (the late Gertrude Wagler) of Sandy Lake, PA Dorothy (the late Mark Overholt) of Minerva, OH Victor (Ann) of Jerome, MI Alma (James Miller) of Wyoming, MI Owen (Judy) of Jerome, MI Lois (Mervin Sommers) of Jonesville, MI Rose Mary (Abe Stoll) of North Adams, MI and Duane (Kathy) of Jerome, MI Simon Jr. (Treva) of Jerome, MI Ruth Ann (Rick Kauffman) of North Adams, MI Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Wagler of Pickens, SC, his niece Judith Ybarra of North Adams, MI, and his parents, Simon and Mary Wagler of Jerome, MI. Visitation hours will be Wednesday April 11 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 3488 County Line Rd. Cochranton, PA. A Funeral Service will also be held at the church on Thursday, April 12, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
