Dennis E. Yeager

Dennis E. Yeager, 75 of Clarks Mills, passed away on October 31, 2018, at Avalon Springs in Mercer. Dennis was born on Sept 28, 1943 in Geneva to the late Wayne E. and Shirley A. Beckdol Yeager Patterson. He was a 1961 graduate of Lakeview High School. Dennis worked as a meat cutter for many years at the Greenville Golden Dawn, then worked for PPG for eight years, was a Culligan Man in Wyoming, then retired in 2005 from Elder’s Sales and Service in Stoneboro. Dennis married his beloved wife, Sherry Lou Clark, on March 30, 1962, she survives at home. Dennis was a member of the Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, he loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed the Western States and traveled to Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his daughter, Teresa R. Elder and husband Harry Jr. of Stoneboro, sons William E. “Bill” Yeager and wife Betty of Hadley, Audie E. Yeager and companion Trisha Morrison of Clarks Mills, seven grandchildren, Darcy Shiner and husband Stephen, Marci Yeager and companion Levi Markwood, Joshua Yeager and companion Heather Wickham, Travis Yeager and wife Katy, Jacob Elder, Gabriel Elder, and Nevaeh Morrison, two great grandchildren, Jase and Cooper Yeager, three brothers, Bruce Yeager and wife Debbie, Gary Yeager and wife Priscilla, all of Clarks Mills, and Jack Yeager and wife Shirley of Sandy Lake, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dolores Yeager, and step-father Paul Patterson. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Friday, November 2. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 am on Saturday, November 3 with the Reverend Adam J. Stump, Pastor of Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, officiating. Memorials may be made in Dennis’s name to Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, 3813 Hadley Road, Clarks Mills, PA 16114.
