Donna Marsteller Obituary

Donna M. Marsteller, 86 of Clarks Mills, passed away on July 5, 2020 at St. Paul’s in Greenville. Donna was born in Meadville on December 9, 1933 to the late Donald and Lorretta (Tessmer) Beers. She was a 1951 graduate of Jamestown High School and went on to earn her LPN Certificate at Mercer County Career Center. She worked for many years as an LPN at St. Pauls, then Polk Center, as well as was a homemaker for her husband and children. Donna married her beloved husband, Clair Marsteller on April 25, 1953, together they owned and operated a dairy farm in New Lebanon until 1980. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2011. Donna loved horses and worked with them all of her life. She would train and show pleasure horses and in her earlier years she was a member of the Silver Spurs Club and the Pony Club of Mercer County. Donna was a longtime member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. Donna is survived by her children Alex Marsteller and wife Diane of Jacksonville, FL, Guy Marsteller and wife Catherine of Avella, PA, and Clay Marsteller of Sandy Lake, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a sister, Marlene Clark and husband Frank of Stoneboro. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by her son, Todd Marsteller, and great-grandson Dawson Marsteller. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
