Harold N. Steele

Harold N. Steele, Sr., 70 of Pardoe, Mercer, PA, passed away at 1:13 am on Sunday, June 10, 2018 after an extended illness. Harold was born on August 8, 1947 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle to the late Harold Leroy and Goldie Sipe Steele. Harold attended Laurel High School. He worked at Sharon Steel and was a metal scrapper for 41 years. Harold most loved being a minister, a father, and a grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and attending church at both The Shield of Faith in the Windmill Center, Sandy Lake, and The Chapel of Mercer. His wife, Lois A Haag-Steele, whom he married on February 14, 1968, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, two infant granddaughters, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his sons, Harold Steele, Jr and his fiancé Joanne and Michael Steele and his fiancé Heather, daughters Connie Kennedy, Olive Dora, Crystal Steele and fiancé Enrique, grandchildren Anthony, Nate, Eric, Trevis, Shirley, Donald, and Julien, as well as six great grandchildren. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. A memorial dinner will be held at The Chapel of Mercer, 300 S. Pitt Street, Mercer, PA 16137 on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 12:00 pm. The family is asking if everyone could bring a dish to share.
