James Heim Obituary

James P. “Jim” Heim, 74 of Clarks Mills, passed away at the Grove at Greenville on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Jim was born on November 26, 1943 in New Vernon Township to the late Carl P. and Twila G Smith Heim. He was a 1961 graduate of Lakeview High School and went on to work at Avtex Fibers in Meadville for 28 years until its closing. He also was a lifelong owner and operator of his dairy farm in Clarks Mills. Jim married his beloved wife, Sylvia Loretta Hollabaugh, on April 28, 1962, she survives at home. Jim was a member of Emmanuel Christian Church. He loved farming, being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his son James C. Heim and wife Cathy of Stoneboro, daughter Loretta “Lori” G. Harris and companion Charles Kreiner of Shrewsbury, PA, sister Janet Marshall and husband Fred of Harmonsburg, PA, grandchildren Joshua Clayton and companion Amy Sweitzer of Seven Valleys, PA, Angela Harris and companion Greg Blymire of Hellam, PA, Ashley Davison and husband Eric of Sheakleyville, Mikaela Gawne and husband Alec of Stoneboro, and Jacob Heim of Stoneboro, great grandchildren Gracie Harris, Kylie Leiphart, Sierra Blymire, and Levi Clayton, Lydia Clayton, and Evan Davison. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, John Heim, and sister, Kate DeVore. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. Funeral services will be private. Interment will take place in New Lebanon Cemetery.
