Marian Irene Haller

Marian Irene Haller, 85 of Stoneboro, passed away in her home surrounded by her family at 10:45 AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Born in Stoneboro on November 7, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Charles Carl and Louella Thompson Kopta. She was a 1950 graduate of Stoneboro High School and went on to graduate from Wilmar Beauty School in Sharon. She owned and operated a beauty shop from her home for many years and was also employed at Polk Center as a Supervisor for 12 years. Marian married the love of her life, Theodore C. “Ted” Haller on May 22, 1952, he survives at home. Marian loved to put together puzzles and reading books from various genres. She especially enjoyed knitting, knitting many afghans and many sweaters for her family members. Above all else, she loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Marian is survived by her children, Susan King and husband Jeff, Utica, and Michael Haller of Stoneboro, grandchildren Heather Neal, Michael Marshall, Anthony Marshall, and April Kosslow and husband Zach, great-grandchildren Sydney and Cameron Marshall, and one sister Peg Peterson and husband Ken, Utica. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her step-mother, Sue Kopta, daughter Becky Neal, sister Betty Amon, brothers Robert and Charles Kopta, and a nephew Troy Peterson. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro.
