Randall Carey Obituary

Randall J. “Randy” Carey, 71 of Lake Twp, Jackson Center, passed away on February 15, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford. Randy was born on January 16, 1949 to the late Jay and Beverly Carey. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and went on to work as a Foreman for PennDOT. Randy proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Randy married his beloved wife, Sandra “Jo Jo” Jenkins Carey on December 6, 1980, she preceded him in death on January 16, 2016. Randy was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Hunting was his passion and was known to hunt year-around. He was a member of the Jackson Center Sportsmans Club, was a Shriner and a Freemason. Randy is survived by his step-daughter, Shelley Jenkins of Charlotte, NC, daughter Lisa Mellon and husband Brett of Jackson Center, granddaughters Lyndsey and Abigayle Mellon, and sister Lynn Charlton and husband Denny of Sandy Lake, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. A graveside service will take place on Friday, February 21, at 2:30 PM at the Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Adam Stump, officiating. Full Military Honors will be rendered by the VETS Honor Guard. Memorials may be made in Randy’s name to the Good Samaritan Hospice House, 146 Neely School Road, Wexford, PA 15084.
