Wayne Kasbee Obituary

Wayne G. Kasbee also known as “Bad Wayne”, 82 of Sandy Lake, passed away at home on September 16, 2018 surrounded by his family. Wayne was born in Sandy Lake on November 21, 1935 to the late Dale G. and Lavisa Osborne Kasbee. He was a graduate of Sandy Lake High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He worked at Westinghouse in Sharon, on the RailRoad, and driving truck for both Mushroom Transportation and Foster Grading, retiring in 2000. He married his beloved wife, Sondra Brest, on December 29, 1956, she survives at home. Wayne was an avid deer hunter and made many memories with his family while hunting. He went camping with his family to Hearts Content campground in Allegheny National Forest and vacationed in Ocean City often. His passion was driving all over just to get a bite to eat. He loved animals, especially horses, was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and enjoyed helping his neighbors with his backhoe every chance he could. In addition to his wife Sondra, Wayne is survived by his children, Brenda Scofield and husband Raymond of Sandy Lake, Vickie Kerr of Sandy Lake, Teresa Spalding of San Antonio, TX, Michael Kasbee and wife Rhonda of Sandy Lake, and Darlene “Peanut” Wendrock and significant other Michael Szymanski of Sandy Lake, grandchildren Jessica and Justin Scofield, Jesse and Ryan Kerr, Alex, Nick and Katie Spalding, Mariah and Kristin Kasbee, and Jonathan Wendrock, great-grandchildren Annayka Scofield, Evangeline Kerr and Brynn Kerr as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Brian Kerr, his brother Tom Kasbee, an infant brother, and a nephew Clarence "Butch" Kasbee. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, September 19.
