Daniel Paul Hoegerl

Daniel Paul Hoegerl, 82, of Saegertown, passed away March 21, 2024 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born February 2, 1942 in Meadville, a son of Otto and Margaret Wybiral Hoegerl.  He married Patricia Zerby June 26, 1965.

Danny was a 1960 graduate of Saegertown High School and completed his tool and die apprenticeship at Talon where he worked for 33 years.  He subsequently worked at Proform Tool for 10 years.

Danny was a member of Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society.  He enjoyed tinkering and cutting wood and loved tractors.  He was affiliated with Epiphany of The Lord Parish.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Pat, include four children, Steven Hoegerl of Saegertown, Wanda Barr (Russ) of Saegertown, Carl Hoegerl (Seeniann) of Forest, VA, and Michael Hoegerl (Amy) of Meadville; eight grandchildren, Trevor, Zack, Brittany, Emily, Brooke, Kileyann, John, and Julia; a brother, Charlie Hoegerl of Saegertown; a sister, Kathy Wise (Bill) of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nancy Kutz; and infant twin brothers.

Calling hours will be Monday, March 25 from 12-2 p.m. at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas as Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.
