Phillip Wesley Nichols

Phillip Wesley Nichols, 49, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with his loving family by his side following an unexpected illness.

He was born August 5, 1974 in Meadville, a son of Richard Wallace Nichols and Wannetta Kessler Nichols Swasta. He married Ann McCaffrey December 31, 2005.

Phillip worked as a flooring installer for Foulk’s Flooring America and subsequently for Meadville Plating.  He was a proud supporter of Crawford County ABATE and was a former member of American Legion Post 111.

Phillip was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, motorcycles, pig farming, building a barn and loved classic cars.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Ann, include six children, BoDavid Nichols, Angel Nichols, Hope Jackson (Ryan), Zackaria Furry (Jasmine), Tatiana Williams (Kenya), and Jason Hinshaw; mother, Wannetta Swasta of Meadville; sister,  Julia Nichols (Scott) of Meadville; paternal grandfather, Richard Nichols of Meadville; grandchildren, Jackson, Lilly, Samuel, and one expected; stepmother, Sherry Nichols of Meadville; step-sister, Leslie Forinash (Rick) of Springboro; and nephew Nathan Williams, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandmother; and maternal grandparents.

Calling hours will be Friday, December 22 from 2-4 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE.
