Richard Booher Obituary

Richard L. Booher, 80 of Sandy Lake, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024 at his farm on the hill. Richard was born in Harrisville on April 28, 1943 to the late Eustace and Myrtle (Daniels) Booher. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Richard had a special place in his heart for his family. His love showed through in everything he did, even just being there with open arms and a smile. Richard was an outdoorsman enjoying spending time in nature, hunting, and watching all sorts of wildlife. People always looked forward to his large farm party each year to celebrate the beginning of deer season, having dozens of friends and family, come through the farm before opening day. He also enjoyed his daily rides around the neighborhood with his dear friend Sam Breese, and spending time with his lifelong friend, Marlin “Smitty” Smith.

Richard married the love of his life, Marlene Reynolds Booher, in 1962, she preceded him in death in 2021.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved sister, Beverly Stake of Greenville, and his children: Lisa Uber of Stoneboro; Pamela (Brian) Alexander of Sandy Lake; and Brian Booher (Crystal McIntire) of Sandy Lake, grandchildren: Evan Uber; Emmily McClearn; Jeneil (Nathaniel) Beil; Camaron (Caitie) Alexander; Ryleigh Booher; and Brayden Booher, great-grandchildren: Adilene and Declan Beil; Murphy Canon; and Finley Alexander.
